Listings state the towns and ZIP codes a business actually serves — because "Alaska" is not a service area and "the Kenai" means something different to a Cooper Landing drift guide than to a Homer halibut skipper.

Soldotna and Kenai are the center of gravity. From there the coverage runs up the river to Cooper Landing, down the coast through Kasilof, Ninilchik and Anchor Point to Homer, and across to Seward and Resurrection Bay.
Why ZIP codes matter here
Assistants and search engines resolve "near me" and "near Soldotna" through explicit place data. A profile that names Sterling 99672 and Cooper Landing 99572 is answerable; one that says "we fish all over the peninsula" is not.
Waters and units, not just towns
Alongside towns, listings name the water — upper, middle or lower Kenai, the Kasilof, Cook Inlet, Kachemak Bay, Resurrection Bay — and for hunting, the game management unit. That's the level of detail people actually search at.
